nazivom PROJEKT LAZARUS, iza čijeg se neobičnog imena krije glavni cilj djelovanja ovoga ansambla –
revitalizacija hrvatske glazbene baštine. Projekt Lazarus osnovan je u okviru udruge Hrvatski glazbeni
centar, a idejni je začetnik i osnivač ansambla bas Robert Palić, član Opere Hrvatskog narodnog
kazališta u Zagrebu. Istraživanje, revitalizacija, promocija i prezentacija hrvatske glazbene baštine
U nastojanju otimanja zaboravu vrijednih spomenika hrvatske glazbene
baštine, nepresušnom vrelu potvrde pripadnosti zapadnoeuropskom kulturnom i civilizacijskom
krugu, glazbenici Projekta Lazarus izvode djela skladatelja tzv. rane hrvatske glazbe, poput Ivana
Lukačića, Vinka Jelića i Ivana Šibenčanina, no posebno izdvajamo Damjana Nembrija, skladatelja
muzikologije dr. Dragana Plamenca, čije su posljednje istraživanje i studija bili upravo psalmi Damjana
Nembrija. Umjetnički voditelji ansambla su dirigenti Darijan Ivezić i Franjo Bilić, umjetnička suradnica,
pijanistica i producentica Martina Mičija Palić, a vanjski je suradnik ansambla uvaženi akademik,
muzikolog Ennio Stipčević.
The professional ensemble PROJEKT LAZARUS has been active both locally and
internationally since 2013. The ensemble’s unusual name reveals the main goal of its existence –
revitalization of the Croatian music heritage. Projekt Lazarus was formed within the Croatian
Music Centre Association and its initiator and creator is the bass Robert Palić, a member of the
Opera of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Research, revitalization, promotion, and
presentation of the Croatian music heritage are the primary goals of Projekt Lazarus, which are
being realized via two main processes: the research of unknown and undocumented music
literature, created in the period from the 16 th to the 18 th century, in collaboration with the experts
in the said period and the performance of the music material. The ensemble Projekt Lazarus is
particularly focused on the presentation of works which have not seen the light of day in
contemporary history, or the rarely performed ones, as well as those for which there is no audio
or video recording. In an effort to save the invaluable Croatian music heritage from oblivion, the
heritage that presents an inexhaustible source of confirmation of belonging to the Western
European cultural and civilizational circle, the musicians of Projekt Lazarus have been
performing the works of composers of the so-called early Croatian music, such as Ivan Lukačić,
Vinko Jelić, and Ivan Šibenčanin. Particularly worth mentioning is Damjan Nembrij, a composer
born in Hvar in 1584, whose so far only preserved work Brevis et facilis psalmorum from 1641
the ensemble Projekt Lazarus performed in Croatia and abroad. The 120 th anniversary of the
founder of contemporary Croatian musicology Dragan Plamenac, PhD, was commemorated in
2015. His last research and study were precisely Damjan Nembrij’s psalms. The ensemble’s
artistic directors are conductors Darijan Ivezić and Franjo Bilić, artistic associate, pianist, and
producer is Martina Mičija Palić, and the independent contractor of the ensemble is the esteemed

godišnji majstorski seminar o majstorima Svete Klotilde i njihovim izvorima inspiracije, u
kojemu sudjeluju studenti iz cijelog svijeta.
2013. izdaje nosač zvuka Homage to the masters of St Clotilde za izdavačku kuću Festivo. Tisak
hvali njegove tehničke kvalitete, govoreći o „mjehurićima šampanjca“, „poeziji“, „čistom
francuskom duhu“, kao i o njegovu „prirodnom rubatu“, „ekspertnom sviranju“ i
„transparentnosti“ (časopis Choir and Organ, koji je albumu dao četiri zvjezdice).
U ožujku 2016. novi je nosač zvuka izdala kuća Bayard, a distribuirala Hamonia mundi. To je
„posveta Franku“, s trima koralima za orgulje, motetima za zbor i orgulje (s vokalnim
ansamblom Basilica) i dvama djelima Stéphana Delplaca.
Njegova je koncertna karijera obilježena eklekticizmom. Eklekticizmom, prvenstveno, u izboru
Slovenija, Hrvatska, Belgija itd.), SAD-a, Meksiku, Japanu itd.
pregleda.
OLIVIER PENIN (1981) began playing the piano at the age of five and joined the choir
Maîtrise de Caen at the age of six. Having completed his education and earning a Premier Prix, a
high honour Diploma of Musical Studies, he was appointed a co-titular organist at the tribune of
the Basilica of St Clotilde in 2004.
Today, he is the only titular organist and in charge of religious music. As such, he writes and
arranges works, and he has created a new tradition of monthly organ recitals on Saturday, as well
as a yearly masterclass on the masters of St Clotilde and their sources of inspiration, in which
students from all over the world participate.
In 2013, his CD Homage to the masters of St Clotilde was released on the Festivo label. The
press praised his technical qualities, talking about “champagne bubbles”, “poetry”, “pure French
spirit”, as well as his “natural rubato” and his “expert play” and “transparency” (Choir and
Organ magazine, which gave the album four stars).
In March 2016, a new CD was released by Bayard and distributed by Hamonia mundi. It is a
“tribute to Frank”, with the three chorales for organ, motets for choir and organ (with the vocal
ensemble Basilica) and two works of Stéphane Delplace.
His concert career is characterized by eclecticism. Eclecticism, firstly, in the choice of works,
amongst which one can find works by Bach, as well as romantic pieces or contemporary
compositions. His eclecticism is also apparent in the choice and variety of groups with which he
works. He is the organist of the choir O’Trente (conductor M. Korovitch), the vocal ensemble
Aedes (conductor Mathieu Romano), and the vocal ensemble Basilica, a young and professional
choir which he created with Marc Korovitch to perform music for choir and organ.
He is also active as a soloist with various orchestras performing various works (concertos of
Handel, Saint-Saëns Symphony…). On the radio, he performed alone and with various
formations. He does not neglect chamber music, as he plays in smaller formations (duo, trio and
in particular with harp), for which he also arranges works.
He is a regular guest of festivals in various countries of Europe (France, the Netherlands,
Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Belgium, etc.), in the United States, Mexico, Japan, etc.
As part of his activities, videos of him are posted on YouTube and they now exceed a million
views.
